Himay
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Himay’s sound is deeply influenced by the iconic Roland TB-303 and a bygone era of dance music. With over a decade of experience, he has toured extensively across the country and performed internationally, including a notable show in London.
As a DJ, Himay fearlessly explores various shades of music, ranging from soulful disco classics to more eclectic and left-field genres like Acid House. Over the years, he has had the privilege of supporting esteemed artists such as Tama Sumo, DJ Stingray, K-Hand, Kim Ann Foxman, Lakuti, Dauwd, and Big Miz. In 2018, he made his festival debut at Far Out Left, sharing the stage with international heavyweights like DJ Nobu, Mathew Johnson, Danny Daze, and African Acid Is the Future, alongside other prominent local and global acts. The following year, he performed at BUDx Mumbai. Himay also curates Disconnect, a monthly disco party in Mumbai, and hosts a monthly radio show on Boxout.fm.
Himay launched 400303, a record label dedicated to house music with Indian influences. Its first release, A House Sound of India, was created to support COVID-19 relief efforts in India. Beyond his label, he has released music on prominent platforms like Krunk Kulture, OCL Records, and other independent Indian labels. Himay has an upcoming second release on 400303 Records and is set to release a vinyl record on a renowned British label later this year.
