Tasha

Tasha first made her name as a DJ in the drum & bass community, with early support from DJ Flight on BBC 1Xtra. After DJ Storm made her a resident at her Feline night, she became a firm part of the community, going on to play regularly at Renegade Hardware and across Europe. A dedicated head to the core, her exploratory experiences raving at London’s techno nights, working behind the counter selling records at BM Soho, and listening to more techno began to influence her sets and radio shows when she started her residency on Rinse FM in 2009. Since 2018, Tasha has remained a core member of the iconic station's lineup.

Tasha’s DJing style reflects her richly textured influences and has evolved into a masterful flow of form—seamlessly weaving tunes from her bass-informed UK roots with 4×4 techno forms, broken beats, or straight-up D&B rollers. Notably, Tasha is one of the few DJs to have built a career in both drum & bass and techno, refusing to be pigeonholed into genre conformities. Whether delivering a peak-time or closing set at Berghain, a jungle masterclass at Rupture, or a mixed bag b2b with Josh Caffé at the helm of FOLD, Tasha covers all bases. With an accomplished and atmospheric hold on the dancefloor, her sound has taken her to some of the best festivals and clubs worldwide, including Tresor, Glastonbury, Freedom Festival, and others. She is a resident at the outstanding Open Ground club and a regular at Fabric, Blitz, and The White Hotel.

Tasha also made her mark as a promoter within electronic music when she began hosting parties at the revered venue Plastic People in East London. One of her ventures, Medium, was co-founded in 2007 with like-minded friends, including Sigha, where they hosted multi-genre parties and alternative sets—uncommon programming at the time. In December 2010, Tasha launched her own concept, Neighbourhood, now one of London’s most respected parties. Tasha curates lineups without compromise, featuring artists she genuinely loves from different “neighborhoods,” including Pangaea, dBridge, Grain, Ben Sims, Neil Landstrumm, Freddy K, Stenny, and John Swing.

Neighbourhood has hosted parties at notable venues but calls the incredible FOLD its home. Running for almost 15 years, Neighbourhood expanded to include a record label, which will celebrate its 8th anniversary of releases in 2024. The label has become a vital platform in techno and electronic music, featuring tracks from underground talents like Yant and Reflec, as well as legends such as dBridge, Randomer, Mantra, and Ben Sims.

Tasha’s sets and parties have left a lasting impression on the artists she works with. She loves a good b2b set and often collaborates with DJs such as Alienata, Steffi, The Lady Machine, Skee Mask, and Josh Caffé.

It is safe to say Tasha has, and continues to, play an integral role in shaping the modern dance music scene. Her unwavering dedication to music shines through in everything she does as a DJ, promoter, and label owner. In an industry that often prioritizes social media presence over artistry, Tasha’s “music first” attitude, selection, and abilities make her very much in demand.
